A handshake, not a free-for-all.
SYND lets members message each other to negotiate trades, settle reservations, and ask vendors about inventory. These are the rules that keep that channel useful and safe.
01What's not allowed
- Harassment or hate. No threats, slurs, sustained personal attacks, or hateful content targeting any individual or group.
- Sexually explicit content. Including unsolicited explicit imagery or descriptions. Conversations between consenting adults are not a use case for SYND.
- Scams and fraud. Misrepresenting cards, prices, grading, or identity. Coordinated price manipulation. Phishing attempts.
- Spam. Unsolicited promotions, link dumps, or off-platform sale pressure.
- Illegal activity. Anything that violates US federal law or the laws of the jurisdiction either party is located in.
- Counterfeit goods. Discussing the sale or trade of fake, replica, or proxy cards as authentic.
- Off-platform payment evasion intended to defraud the other party.
02How we enforce
- Reporting. Hold any message → Report message → choose a reason. Reports are reviewed by the SYND team — see Section 03 for target response times.
- Blocking. Profile → Block user stops all future messages and hides existing threads from the blocked user. Either party can block.
- Removal. Reported messages may be removed from view for both parties. The conversation thread itself is preserved for the reporter's records.
- Suspension. Repeat offenders or single severe violations result in temporary or permanent account suspension. While suspended, the account cannot send messages or open new trades. Existing Vault data is retained.
- Permanent ban. Reserved for fraud, threats of violence, illegal content, or repeated severe violations after a suspension.
03Response times
Our target initial-review windows from the moment a report is filed:
- Within 24 hours. Threats of harm, illegal content.
- Within 48 hours. Harassment, hate, sexual content.
- Within 72 hours. Scams, fraud, counterfeits.
- Within 5 business days. Spam, low-severity policy breaks.
Outcomes are not shared with the reporter for privacy reasons, but once enforcement is applied you will not be contacted by the reported user via SYND.
04If you've been suspended
You will receive an in-app notice with the suspension end date and the rule(s) cited. To appeal, email support@synd.pro with your account email and a brief explanation of why you believe the action was applied incorrectly. Appeals are reviewed within five business days.
If your account has been permanently banned for fraud, threats, or illegal content, you may still request export of your Vault data. Use the same email address.
05Trade-specific conduct
SYND's Trade Desk is built around the Handshake Protocol — both phones write the same receipt at the same moment, and neither party can edit it afterward. A few rules that apply specifically to in-person and remote trades:
- Misrepresenting condition or grade. Listing a card as PSA 10 when it is raw, NM when it is LP, or selling a proxy as authentic, is grounds for a permanent ban.
- Backing out after a signed handshake. The Trade Desk receipt is a binding record between the two parties. Refusing to deliver after signing is a community violation and, if repeated, will result in suspension.
- Disputes. Both Vaults retain the receipt of any settled trade. If you have a dispute with a counter-party, email us with the transaction ID and we will mediate based on the on-chain record.
06Vendor responsibilities
SYND Pro vendors with a public Digital Catalogue and Storefront QR have additional responsibilities:
- Catalogue listings must accurately describe condition, grade, language, and pricing.
- Reservations must be honored for the full 15-minute hold window unless the buyer cancels first.
- Vendors may not solicit off-platform payment to evade SYND's record-keeping.
- Repeated reservation failures or inaccurate listings may result in vendor storefront suspension.
